We did some digging in my yard yesterday and moved several loads of dirt with my neighbors dump trailer- it's real slick. A remote control allows you to sit in the drivers seat to control the dump bed (raise & lower).
If it were me, I'd take measurements, draw some sketches, and copy that design. Why not call around to see what is offered nearby- then visit, measure, sketch, and build?
This doesn't exactly answer your question. But these people have some nifty dump trailer plans.

I haven't bought the dump trailer plans but have bought a couple of others, neither of which have I built. However, I judge that were I to do so, these plans would be entirely satisfactory.
