Futaba 9C programming help

I just got the Futaba 9CAF to fly my new H9 Ultra Stick 40 with all the features (Crow, Full length ailerons, etc.). I've programmed the model several different ways now and I found something that I want to share to any other 9C user. This spreadsheet is an excellent way to track your models..

It looks wonderful, but how do you get the data from the 9C into the computer?

Of course it does. From the first page --

The 9C programming spreadsheet was developed by RC modeler Bill Creitz, a freelance technical writer and illustrator. Bill, who does business under the name Stoneridge Technical Services, develops user manuals, help files, electronic publications and other documentation for a wide range of commercial products. It seems like this is intended as a showcase and advertisement for his work. And it seems pretty effective at that, and yet actually on-topic for this group!

(I'm not sure how useful it actually would be, but it certainly seems well done.)

With your keyboard, and your mouse. Or I imagine you could print the template out, and use a pen or pencil.

Seriously, there's no way for mere mortals (i.e. people who don't work at Futaba or have the equipment and know-how to read stuff off a clonepac or the internal memory and actually use it) to read stuff out of their 9C into a computer. Some other manufacturers DO offer this functionality (like Multiplex) but I don't think any Futaba radios do.

Dale,

Same combination here!

One bug I've found in the spreadsheet; some of the yellow shaded areas with drop down lists don't have relevant choices to pick from. For example; under servo - left aileron/right aileron & left flap/right flap aren't listed. Typing them in gets rejected, but pasting in works.

Thanks for sharing the link to Bill's spreadsheet. Hopefully someone will expand it to include gliders & helicopters.

I'll e-mail him about the glitch I found. --

Jeboba,

The 9C _IS_ the computer radio tx.

OK, you mean into your PC. You type it in. The directions are under the included spreadsheet tab 'How to'. --
