Ignition - Radio distance

Nov 04, 2003 1 Replies

Hello,

I would like to move my receiver battery forward quite a bit, the receiver is staying in the middle of the plane.

The ignition module and ignition battery up up front next to the firewall.

The normal safety distance is 9 inches or so from ignition, does this mean that the receiver battery must be 9 inches from the spark plug or from the ignition module and/or ignition battery ? Or does it just apply to the receiver ?

Thanks,

J

Anything that can conduct back to the Rx has to be kept separated from the nearest component of the ignition by 8" or so. Some get by with less, some have to go more. Good luck.
