About to put together a Flip 3D and am wondering if there are any things that need modification/strengthining etc, will put a Saito 72 in the plane. Are there any other setup items that need special attention for serious 3D flying?

An awful lot has been written about this plane on RCU everyone has their own set up. If possible change the push rods to carbon fibre. I did my mods after flying it.

On recommendations by others, I did change to composite pushrods. I also trashed all the offshore hardware and used Sullivan & DuBro, as well as Radio South CA hinges. "Just in case", I added some triangle stock around the gear mount. I'm using an Irvine .53. Lots of control throw with lots of expo.
