We have Adept cartesian robots installed on a machine. The main communication with the robot servo axes is via a Firewire (IEEE1394) bus.
We have recently been having unspecified communication failures with the robot axes, and have no means of adequately testing the integrity of the link.
Does anyone know of any Firewire test equipment, suitable for field use? Something similar to those handheld Ethernet testers would be useful.
