I have recently started to use an 1800 deg C kiln. It is equipped with a thermocouple specified as a PR2040. Anyone know the mV vs. temperature characteristic of this type of thermocouple?

Type B is Pt 6% Rh/ Pt 30% Rh. R and S have a pure Pt leg.
This is a more exotic type, without an ISA designation AFAIK.
I have a very old document (in German only) that shows the output of this type at 1800°C as only about 4.5mV, and somewhat like B, rather flat at the low end.

Yes, and it seems to be mostly or entirely supported by Japanese instruments.
Anyone have a pointer to modern tables or equations for this type?
