Kollmorgen ServoStar600 servo driver.
Problem: serial port prompt should be ==> however sometimes it comes back with an additional ~ in front. ie. ~==> causing our serial software to become unable to talk to the servostar. Not sure how or why the servostar600 comes into this state. but once in this state the only way we can reset it is by launching the DRIVE.EXE program that came with the servostar. Somehow the drive program when launched cause something to reset the servostar, hence making it behave normally again.
IS there some soft or hard reset you can send to the servostar? or perhaps some command to tell it to refresh its buffer.
