It is awefully lazy to assume that folks will know what you're talking about. I mean, it would have taken all of another 30 seconds to say that it is for a motherboard BIOS or whatever it IS for. At this point, we have no way to tell, unless directly familiar with it.

Narrowing your scope of respondents in that way will mean no response in most cases. If it was known what you refer to, even those without familiarity may be able to respond effectively.

DarkMatter explained on 05/03/2004 :

Anyone who might know, would recognise it straight away as British Standard 7671 :-)

This is an international news group BS7671 is the UK standard regulations.

I don't see consider people being lazy when the NEC is mentioned without a full explanation as to what the NEC is....hell I thought it was the National Exhibition Centre in birmingham :)

I understand that it is an Int group. What I was referring to is that the post was very vague, and very short. How many of your precious seconds would it have taken to spell it out to at least a professional degree? As in :

I am looking for the British Standard (bs) for bs7671.

That little descriptive qualifier would have made the post a lot more clear to all.

Actually, most folks that want answers in here are fairly concise.

Yep... yer a real CAD.

Yer not sQuick after all.
