Engineering work & feelings

A life according to feelings is good for work: Like fuel keeps a car going, fulfilling the needs of humans keep them fit for work. That is why needs exist and that is what feelings are for. Needs are not only physical, also the social environment matters a lot for how we get things done, our larger picture of the world guides work for meaningful worthwhile purposes and feelings themselves take care that our all kinds of social & other needs get fully answered. There is only one "but": the forces that feelings are guide us right but we need a proper holistic view of the world to avoid the error of tunnel like sight which makes us bounce mindlessly after one stimuli after another without proper organization of the whole. That is something that we mistakenly take to be the fault of feelings but which in fact is a mark of a lack in objective thinking. Engineering and other intellectual work can help the world back to its right tracks by giving a better picture of technology and its uses and of all the other sides of the modern world. That will make our feelings too work for a better world and a more prosperous society... Merry Christmas to You All!
