How draw electrical drawings?

Hope this is the right place for this questions:

  1. When making drawings that use symbology such as electrical schematics for PLC and control circuits..... what SIZE should thee symbols be drawn at

  1. Should the symbols be in model space and all text labels be in pspace? Or everything in mspace?

  2. Can one draw the WHOLE circuit in mspace and then cut up the diagram to separate sheets using layouts in pspace?

Bottom line.... what proper procedure for such symbolic type drawings?

my recommendation is to obtain a Sams Photofact manual or a Motorola service manual... say from the 70's and see how close you can come to duplicating it. clear schematics, parts layout, parts list, and perhaps some theory of operation. see

keep in mind that the people who need to use the schematics may want to hunt you down and do horrible things to you. i would try to outsource the job so you can lay the blame elsewhere.

if you want it to be like the bulk of service information these days have a Japanese typist translate it into Chinese then back to English before releasing it.
