swa cable ??

is there any method of determining the csa of steel wire in swa cables uk ??? any help would be greatful

Measure the radius of one of the armoured strands, square it, multiply it by PI, then multiply it by the number of armoured strands.

((Radius*Radius)*PI)*#_of_strands = Steel Wire CSA

or if its too small to measure the radius,,,,,,,,

((Diameter/2)*(Diameter/2)*PI)*#_of_strands = Steel Wire CSA

Or it will probably be easier to call the cable manufacture and just ask them.
