The 8051 is well established and you are unlikely to find anyone who will send you samples of this, or any other "usual" components.

Samples are typically made available of the latest designs, which cannot simply be purchased from a shop. For example, a rather more modern 8 bit microcontroller from st:

If you are trying to learn how to use microcontrollers, etc - then you are far, far better starting with a "usual" device - which will have extensive application notes, existing projects and other people's experience to help you.

Only once you have such expertise is it worth getting involved with new, state of the art, components - which generally will be much higher performance and much more difficult to get working and get working reliably. If power consumption, space and performance are critical, then you have to look at using them. But otherwise...

it is often counter-productive to do so. Customers generally are happy to pay a lot for a big box that is full of big components and needs a mains power supply. It is obvious that a lot of time and effort has gone into producing it. Lots or wires, all neatly cable-formed, looks far more impressive than one, single, optical fibre "wire" interconnect.

Give them the same functionality in something the size of a postage stamp and running off a button cell - that has actually taken a lot more time and effort to develop - and they think they are being overcharged, for something so "small and evidently simple".. BTDTGTTS.
