This year marks the 5 anniversary of BrickFest. From a meeting of 60+ people in 2000 to a convention of more than 230 in 2003, BrickFest has become the premier AFOL event in the US, and this year will be no different, with displays and seminars going on throughout the three days of the Fest.

BrickFest became "the" AFOL event in the US because of community participation and support, and there will be many projects for the community to take part in, such as:

? the Town/Train layout - Make a module to place in the display at BrickFest. Contact James Trobaugh

? the BrickFest MicroTown Project ?Build a model of your house in microscale. (bigger isn?t always better ;-) A 1x1 round brick is the size of a figure at microscale. If you are not interested in building your house, then build your dream house, your place of work or your favorite store, for a community layout that will show the community neighborhood in a fun way!

? the Moonbase Project - Make a module to place in a Moonbase group display at BrickFest. Contact Jon Palmer

? the BrickFest MOC Flyin - Bring in a flight - oriented model to be in a group display. Historical and modern aircraft are welcome, including X-planes. There will be a timeline of flight where the models will be displayed. Contact Joe Meno

? the BrickFest Mosaic Build - Be part of making a large mosaic of the nation's monuments with others by building a segment and bringing it to BrickFest. (this is in the works but not yet confirmed)

And there's more, but BrickFest is only on the horizon...so stay tuned! And join the celebration that is BrickFest!
