1 3/4 in Backset Deadbolt with Kwikset Keyway

The existing locks are National Locks but one is broken and needs to be replaced. I really don't want to put in a mortise lockbody and the customer is on a budget. If you have any sources that will work please let me know. Thanks so much.

FYI: I have checked several threads that mentioned a 1 3/4in backset but no one seemed to have an answer or the links no longer worked.

Is this just a privacy latch, etc, for an interior door or an exterior door lock?

This is exterior. I found a Schlage keyway version that will work but the rest of the home uses Kwikset keyway so I am hoping to find a different solution to key the locks the same. The doors are glass with a medium size wood stile. Currently the holes are drilled dead center of the stile with the 1 3/4 backset. Alternatively, if I can find just the deadbolt latch to use with a standard deadbolt that would work too.

Yeah, I had something similar a while back I was stuck on it for a bit... Check this out, it MIGHT work for you.

Don't forget, even if the existing spindle is too small, it's a simple fix to just degrease it, build it up with some steel stick epoxy (unless you're set up for brazing), and file it to square... Not an ideal solution, but when you're dealing with rare or largely out of production hardware that, due to door design, CAN"t be replaced for modern hardware, sometimes it's the only way to get it done.

A good remedy can be a DonJo wrap around plate they come in many different configurations allowing the installation of standard cylindrical Locksets. Hope this helps 😎🔓🔑
