computers are a PITA...
the 93 groove key will become the corporate key, replacing the current 73
started with the 03 Saturn ION, this year it fits the ION, Pont Gran Prix, the malibu (NOT the Classic), the Cad SRX and XLR.
now for the kicker... DEPENDING the ION and 04 Cad XLR uses the
93 groove, without transponder, WITH the PK3 transponder as used with the Gran Prix, OR with the PK3+ used on the Malibu and Cad SRX...You CANNOT USE a Curtis Clipper to cut one of these keys DUE TO THICKNESS... .010, AND the GM keys are rather rough on the edges, making holding in a vice jaws, chancy..
the NEW Chrysler Keys ALSO cannot be cut on a Clipper, UNLESS you get a 15XL-45 degree code cutter..
the above from Ledgers news column, latest issue...
the local Chevy dealer shows a price of $58 SRP for the blank, too
part 2.. again, from Ledger.. the Chevy Colorado...GMC Canyon...
10 cut double throw- code series 70,000-75,928 NO transponder for 04 year. this code is based on the Toyota 50,000, 69,999 series.. ther key BLANK is a REVERSE TR47, and as of date of magazine pub, there is NO aftermarket blanks available...the cut spacings are irregular... either .055 or .083, so the macs on the .055 is 1, and the .083 is 2 --Shiva--
Jet now makes this blank, the number may be B107PT or similar.
