Ther're a standard blank used for "Off Shore" safe's. The type with a dial & a cylinder that retracts the bolt.

You should really keep them around. There are many BOX stores selling'em now a days!

Got some SY5-NS. That's the six pin version. You can cut them down. Where should I send them?

Thanks, my friend.

Just sent you my contact in formatio by email. Yes, i can cut down six pins. I've also made six pins out of five before, but that's a bit of a trick.

only if you can do it "without" cutting back the shoulder of the blank, streching out the mills or making the six cut in the chamber a 9 or just slapping a huge pin in the lock to catch the tip of the key.. now if your putting brass on the tip of the blank then that would be a trick I'd like to learn! had to go there..

Hey, don't laugh... I've filed back enough shoulders on blanks.

Russwin used to make six pin cyls, and use a #8 cut in the sixth cut, the after market blanks were too short, and wouldn't work.

Sargeant used to also use a 0 cut in the six position, seen that too.

In regards the SY-1, the old B-31 (I want to say trunk key for very old Plymouth) was fairly close. I did grind one, and file off some of the side groove. I'll try it sometime and see if it works. The keyblank is shorter than the SY-1, but might be tall enough to do the trick.

So do you still need the SY5s or do you want me to wait til you try the B31s? Ain't no sense mailin'em, if ya don't need'em.

Please send. The B-31 bow is totally different than the SY-5. I think the fellows would rather go the extra couple bucks and get real keys.
