Replacing exterior doors and would like your opinions on the best (or better) manufacturers of something that won't tarnish so fast. Has much changed over the past decade?

Thanks, Phil

Ooops . . . I meant tarnish resistant door hardware

look.. some companies are now 'lifetime guarantee' on the finish.. Schlage maybe?? --Shiva--

Hi, Look for something that is PVD coated (partical vapour deposition). Anything with just laquer on will tarnish. The most common trading name for PVD is Everbright. You can take steel wool to PVD and it wont mark the surface.

Thanks to all of you for your prompt replies. Will take the advice and scrutinize carefully.
