A333 pipe & pressure ratings

Hi, The test pressure of the pipe (I mean to say the hydrotest pressure) is roughly 1.5 times of the design pressure of the pipe as per ASME B 31.3 code.

Please make sure that the design pressure of the pipe may be limited due to the pressure vessel it is associated with or with the fittings (Flange rating) it is associated with.

In such cases, test pressure shall be 1.5*design pressure*(Stress at test temp./stress at design temp). as per para 345.4.2 of ASME B 31.3

You cannot find any table in any design code which would give you the MAWP of the pressure part. Instead you shall be given a formula which would give you the MAWP.

For instant reference, you can get in touch with any pipe manufacturer who could give you the necessary data you are required. But please remember any catalogue by any manufacturer shall be used for reference only and it is the designer's responsibility to ensure that the provided data is correct to meet the code requirements.
