Dear santosh sharma:

Crossed "venetian blinds". ######################

Could be done by wrapping metal strapping around pegs, much as how carpets are done.

You would need to bond where the crossed layers met.

###################### Could always buy the honeycomb mailorder:

if you can stand to buy from China.

###################### Could stack short lengths of pipe or tube, and solder / sinter them together.

only without the anode wires / screening.

Just some ideas...

If you are talking well sub sonic - the poor mans fan drive is an auto engine driving a propeller. And metal strips with transverse slots could make a handy-dandy flow-straightening honey-comb, don't you think?

:-)

Good luck

I've stacked layers of "egg crate" light diffusers with mesh screens between layers in a free surface water tunnel.

The classic cheap method is a stack of plastic soda straws held between two taut mesh screens in frames or pieces of perforated plate. The key point is you want the channels to have fully developed flow.

You need mesh screens as well a honeycomb to damp all three components of turbulence. The honeycomb reduces the two transverse components and the screens /perforated plate reduces the axial component.
