How about using Msc.Marc or Nastran to solve magnetic problems?

Hey, everybody,

My problem is similar to the problem of calculating eddy current field due to rotor motion in elcetric motors. I had though before that it could be solved using Ansys. However my boss is going to buy Msc.software's products. As I know, one of Msc's products, Msc/EMAS, which is probably the right one for dealing with the problem, has been acquired by Ansoft since 1996. So i wonder if the others of Msc's products still have the capability of solving eddy current problems resulting from motion effects. I've looked up Msc's websites and found little information about elcetromagnetic field problems, but lots of information about other ereas. It seems to me that Msc's products are intentionally developed for structural analysis, although i know that Msc.Marc and Msc.Nastran are also general FE programs.

The meterials on Msc's websites are too general, too concise,I'm looking for detailed documents of Msc.Marc or Nastran about elcetromagnetics. I'll appreciate any advice on this regard. You can reply to my email box: snipped-for-privacy@yahoo.com.cn or just post here.
