I am currently designing several pieces from Precision Cast 7075 aluminum that need to slide on each other as smoothly as possible. I am curious if there are any low friction coatings (such as Teflon) that are appropriate for 7075. I could alternatively use MIC 6 if that makes any difference relative to coatings.
Any suggestions?

Cycle rate. Cycle loading. Number of cycles / coating life. Chemical environment. Tolerance. Temperature.
When someone can help you, you will have provided the information above. Even ballpark values. Otherwise, google it. coating 7075 "low friction" ... only 359 hits coating aluminum "low friction" ... 153,000 hits.

YEARS ago...in another part of my career we had a part that was a
6063T6 extrusion with grooves machined in it. A 17-4 PH part slid in the grooves.
We had the aluminum pat hard anodized Type III unsealed then it was impregnated with Teflon & baked. That part was slick but even when the
17-4 part was dry lubed after hours of running the unit would seize up.
We kept the Teflon & dry lubed but added a healthy coating of Moly grease.....never a problem again.
Since both of your parts are aluminum the dry coating alone will probably work fine......contact stresses? Geometry of contact areas?
I think the process was called TufRam or something like that but I remember the company
