We are seeking a mechanical engineer for a position in Austin, TX:
***** Duties You are responsible for the design and development of high-speed rotating machinery and other mechanical system components for medium volume production. Duties include detailed solid modeling and design specification development for rotor and bearing assemblies, housings, mounting systems, and other machinery interfaces. You will design for manufacturability by interfacing closely with suppliers and manufacturing personnel.
Requirements BSME or equivalent and minimum 7 years experience in the design of rotating machinery for medium volume production. Experience with iron and steel castings essential. Experience with turbogenerator or other integrated motor/generator assemblies strongly desired. SolidWorks or Pro-E experience preferred. Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 required.
