Looking on the next shows several suppliers that'll happily sell me brass or bronze (I don't care which) screen in 10/12/14 mesh (anything around that size is ok) but in lots much bigger than I need.
Which is about a square foot.
Suggestions?

Some craft stores sell it in ~ 6" square pieces. It may be finer mesh than you need.
