So I think you mean..."Bend a little, move a little, bend a little, move a little, etc.?

I made my own dies from AL cut offs I picked up at the local metal supplier. I found a 4", 4 1/2" and a 5", all of which work fine for me on that same HF bender...
I have dies as large as 9" diam. If the materia your not bending or foming is not al that heavy, mount the entire die setup on top of the bender instead of inbetween the fork ever. Al you need is onger bots or pins
