Still fairly new to building stuff. I know of enco and of mcmaster. Can you give me a list of your favourite general parts catalogues? For example, I've never done a captured screw and flange nut before, but now I have the need for it. Mcmaster wantes almost $200 for a small bronze platform nut, which is insane. Well, maybe that's what they go for, but there must be a much cheaper way to accomplish the same thing, short of cutting up a lathe carriage. A good selection of catalogues other than mcmaster and enco would probably be the place to start. Same thing for cross roller slide bearings; I can't spend over $100 for each set.
