MAchine Base

Just plain concrete should make a wonderful base for that. I think I'd cast in "sockets" for leveling feet and it might not be a bad idea to incorporate a steel mounting plate (suitably anchored) into the top of the casting. I've seen a mount for a mongo wood lathe made that way. The guy that built the lathe wanted some real mass in the base, and he got it. Oh yeah, his turnings had to be mounted/dismounted with a traveling chain hoist due to the weight. So something really massive was need to dampen out the vibration.

I like it! Perhaps setting mounting points in the concrete, threaded to take the machine could be easily done, and be far more rigid than a lot of other methods. Lennie the Lurker
