Need help in identifing mill/drill

I have an old (1978) mill/drill which was inported into Australia from Taiwan by McMillians under their own name. They were an engineering supply company that didn't survive the 1990's downturn. It looks a lot like the Rong_Fu but is slightly different in a few areas. I recently saw a couple of photos in a magazine which looked a lot more like mine. One was called an "Eagle 25" and another had "The Alpine Machine" on the nameplate. Can anyone tell me if they are related to Rong Fu.

..ah.. The Taiwan govnment were quite clever - they designed quite a few machine tools, then licenced the designs to many companys at a very nominal fee, thus encouraging them to export machine tools. The result is many lines of very similar but not identical machines. Alpine imported some mill drills into the UK that were practically identical to the ones Warco imported, but had some minor differences. Alpine also failed to survive, but Warco are going strong.

Ah! So that was what happened. I've seen a lot of similar (but not identical machines) and wondered what the connection was.

Don't worry too much about it. They are all quite similar. Every Chinese dude with a 2-car garage makes them.
