Norton U4 Universal Grinder 4sale trade

I have just aquired a Norton U4 universal cylindrical grinder. It has the center grinding attachment, lots of chucks, drawbar, 1 standard steady rest and about 5 travel rests. Quick estimation is 15" swing and about 56" between centers. I think it is a 1965 machine. I will know more when I give the sn to the people that took over Norton.

Was taken out of service. It is getting loaded onto my trailer Tuesday. I will be able to deliver, but not unload.

If anybody is interested in some trading, I am looking for a forklift diesel or propane, or a class 5 truck. I am in the Panhandle of Texas. If anybody has dealt with these before, let me know what fair market value is.

Thank You Bill

I'm not familiar with that particular model of grinder, but grinders in general are very heavy. A 10" X 20" Brown & Sharpe #1 weighs well over

5,000 pounds, so this monster could easily go over 4 tons. Be certain your trailer is adequate for the task at hand.

Good luck!
