I recently purchased a Harrison 11" lathe. It has grease nipples for oiling. The manual says not to use grease but to use only oil. I am looking for an oiler that fits the standard grease nipple.

It's easy to modify a grease gun. I have done it, and it has worked flawlessly for years:

Any pump oiler with a conical tip should be able to depress the ball and allow oil in. Use it just like the ball oilers on my Logan. Lincoln and others make a grease gun tip that works this way.

I just took a grease gun, removed the plunger, and sealed up the holes in the end cap (a sheet of 1/8" rubber and some glue worked well). Then I filled it with way oil and pumped away. Worked like a charm.

McMaster Carr offers an Alemite pump type oil gun (it looks like a large lever type 'grease-gun'), #1879K21. It's not cheap (about $125), but works well.
