It's shaped like angle iron (90°), but it's aluminum I guess. It looks painted, laminated, or whatever. The smaller angle is 3/4", the larger angle is 2". The aluminum/whatever is almost 1/8" thick and the piece is about 7 feet long.
I suppose it's common and available at the local hardware store.
