OT: Yet Another Gun Control Thread

Just got the latest edition of the American Rifleman magazine today. Page 77 contained a reference to a study performed by Professor Gary Mauser (I like the last name) of Simon Fraser University (Canada) about "Do Gun Bans Work?"

This study probably won't meet Ed Huntress's tight criteria about cites with checkable statistical references, but it is worth looking at anyway.

Good one. Is there an equivalent site with similar U.S. stats?

Only if you nuke the Democrat/Daley party machine. Have you considered moving to Indiana? They have very liberal gun laws (and a lower crime rate)

Here in New York they are contemplating making pistol permits, which are for life unless revoked, renewable every 5 years with a $100.00 renewal fee, plus whatever the local community may wish to tack on, as well as a per-gun surcharge. Another revenue grab by Gov. George Pataxme.
