I am rebuilding a 14" power hacksaw made by Champion Blower and Forge. I figure that the saw was made pre WWII (20's-30's??) before they had sheet metal. The saw is all cast iron castings. I disassembled the saw and took it to an engine rebuilder and got it hot dipped. I have power brushed all of the scale off of it and it's looking pretty good.
What should I use to prep the surface (clean) before painting What type of primer should I use What type of paint should I use.
Are there any pointers or special processes/techniques I should use to make the paint turn out real good an durable?
Please reply and thanks,
Dave
