Progress report

Container containment under way. First of eight joists is complete, and assembled. All other parts cut out, waiting for first joist to be field fit. Others to be made using first as a jig. Joists are 32'6" long, starting at 36.5" at one end, tapering to 12" on the other end. Once up and trued, horizontal bracing of 1.5" .065 square tube will be put every 5.0 feet like chicken boards for attachment of Fabral Mighty Rib sheeting. Total area 1,024 sf. Two 40' x 8' containers, plus 16' x 40' space in between will be shaded. Conduit will be run for lights and drop cords, and a 3" x 3" lifting frame with 12" 3" I beam Dayton rolling dolly installed. Once that's done, all flooring under will be poured. Two double doors 16' wide and 8'+ high will close off the ends of the opening under the containers to block wind. All will be reasonably sealed, and wood stove found for winters. Obligatory microwave, fridge, beer fridge, big screen, etc. will be selected. Computer ready with 7.93 gigs of music, four large hanging speakers. Then containers divided into shop rooms, office, and beer brewing room. Will be plumbed for potable water, and two large swamp coolers installed. Room AC put in the brew room to maintain temperature for lagering.

I'm taking pictures along the way.

Well, it's getting daylight out, so I'm off. My 18 yo helper just called in with the flu. He's the third one I've run to ground so far. But he's a good kid, the best of the lot, and I think he really has the flu. 18 yo in a couple of weeks, 6'3", and about 220#. Kinda like me when I was younger and much taller. ;-) His dad owned a muffler shop, and he's been working there several years, just that the shop is closed, and they do work from a home shop now, and it's spotty. Give me three like him, and I could rule the world. First damn kid I ever saw who could safely operate a grinder.

Hi ho hi ho, it's off to work I go .............

Sorry I'm missing all the fix the world's problems discussion here but ........................
