radio's saving time didn't

Daylight saving time today, three weeks early. 'puter patch worked, cell phone was smart, VCR self updated, all the manual clocks changed.But, we've got an alarm clock radio that knows when to switch to saving time. Don't know how it does it, just magic, I guess. It didn't switch. If we change the time, it will advance again in three weeks. Anybody know how to fix an alarm clock radio to the new rules?

Except the legislation provides for the GAO to determine if this was worth it for energy savings. If it isn't, we revert to the old way.

I have 5 of these WWV clocks. All but one did not change time yesterday. I found there was a setting for daylight saving time that was not set true. It was a "S" on the LCD clock face. The other clocks all have this settable I assume so if you live in Arizona, you don't lie about what time zone your in.

For anyone running a Windows OS do you have the patch installed to deal with the new version of Daylight Savings time? If not you MAY have problems with some software. MS offers a patch online for XP and Outlook, BUT not for anything from Win95 through ME. However there is a real easy way to repair the problem yourself using a small exe file and changing the information yourself.

Aloha from the land of the "almost F22 deployment". Keep an eye on your sources for the next couple of weeks to see if this makes the headlines.

You have probably heard that the USAF is deploying 12 F22 "Raptors" to Kadena for a 3-4 month rotation. They arrived at Hickam last Thursday from Langley enroute to Kadena. Launch on Saturday was uneventful (except they could only get 9 airborne). Problem came when they approached the International Date Line. As the first two flights crossed over all of their computer driven systems went tango uniform (failed). Essentially had a bunch of multi multi million dollar day vfr only jets loitering over where they knew not. Utilizing their trusty Hawaii ANG Tankers they all made it back to Hickam for assisted approaches...on the wing of the two who did not cross over to the dark side and were unaffected. Hate to think of what it would have been like if we had the same weather we did a few weeks back. Will be very interesting to see how this comes across and what the fix is.
