"router" bit for milling steel ?

i have a 2' piece of mild steel bar 1.25 X .5 what i'd like to do is take the .5" side and round it off .. as in 1/2 round like a moulding strip. Does anyone make such a thing? kind of like a router bit for a milling machine? or even a quarter round (then do it twice) thanks for any suggestions!, rtv

Yup, they are called radius mills, or thereabouts. They make both inside and outside radii versions of it. Check any machine tool catalog.

They are called Corner Rounding End Mills. Look at page 2341 of McMaster catalog.

Also look under concave shank type cutter and corner rounding end mills.

Pages 113 and 115 of the KBC catalog if you have one.
