Hi; I am about to try repairing a ss sauce pan by soldering on a new brass mount for the handle. What flux would be the best for this?

That ain't gonna happen! Silver solder-maybe.
Allstate Duzall works well with soft solders on SS. You do need to be careful not to burn Duzall when using a torch, it's not as tolerant of overheating as other less active fluxes like Nokorode.

The MSDS lists the active ingredients if you want to compare it to other fluxes you think may be suitable.
