Momma (10 yrs old) gave us 5 puppies, her last (!) litter about 5 weeks ago.
2 males, 3 BIG females.
Smart as hell, friendly as can be, and pretty...really pretty.
We have about 4 more weeks before they will be available for adoption so get your orders in.
1/2 Golden Retriever, 1/2 Austrailain Shepard. With about 60 pups out in the world in the last 9 yrs..they have a very very good track record.
As usual..the requirements are:
- You must be able to treat these as family members. No putting them on a chain in the back yard and forgetting about them. These are Companion animals. Period
If you want a "watch dog" get one from the pound. These guys will protect you, love you, be your companions, even die for you..but they are not "yard dogs".
- No 1st or 2nd Generation Latinos. 3rd Generation and later, no problem. 2nd Generation MAY be acceptable but will require interview with me.
- You must be smarter than the dogs and be willing to work with them. They are incredibly smart and loving..but will need to be trained with the basics. The advanced stuff comes easy once you prove to them you are smarter than they are.
- Cost is...Free. But only to Good homes. They travel well..historically the pups LOVE to ride in the car, truck and motor home and go everywhere with you.
- They are located in Taft, California. Delivery to So. Cal may be possible. We have a decent small airport for those that wish to fly in as others have done to pick up their pups.
- Pictures will be available in a day or two.
- They MAY have their first series of shots, depending on the contents of my wallet when its time. Else you will be responsible for their shots. Id be happy to teach you how to do it, and shots are available from any feed and grain store, most pet shops etc. About for a 7 or
8 way shot. They will need 2 sets plus rabies shot before they are a year old.
- They started eating solid dry foods on their own at 4 weeks, though momma is filled with milk...she looks like a gray watermellon with spigots...
Momma slipped these in on us rather unexpectedly. We had figured Daddy dog (12 yrs) was simply too old to climb on ...and we were wrong.
