VCR Quest has born some fruit

So I found out the Panasonic makes a "Pro" level of VCRs that don't cost all that much more.

The cheaper one is this one

PANASONIC AG1350 Professional VHS VCR for $185

The fancier one is

PANASONIC AG2580 Pro VHS VCR for $250

They even make this ultimate one

PANASONIC AGW3 Multi-Standard Hi-Fi VCR for $1500

It can play tapes in PAL, NTSC, SECAM, in VHS or S-VHS, as long as you have an appropriate TV for each format.

I picked up a cheap Panasonic for now, but I plan on buying the cheaper Pro level unit later.

No, their cordless phones have gone to shit. Let's hope nothing else does.

But does "pro level" mean the same as a certain compressor is "extreme duty" and a certain car maker is "professional grade". How about "contractor tough"?

There is a Panasonic factory outlet a bit North of Boeing Surplus.

I thought that was just a repair center.
