VIDEO of my W axis and all other mill functions

I embedded the video on this page:

The video shows more or less everything that the mill is capable of: moving in all five directions, drilling cycle, rigid tapping, coolant, spindle forward and reverse, and cool 5 axis simultaneous moves.

I bought it exactly a year ago. I only started working on it in the beginning of June. I have a full time job and a side hustle and kids, so I can only get to the mill occasionally.

did you learn a lot in the last year? did you have a lot of fun? did you track your total cost?

Yes, I have a spreadsheet on my Bridgeport page. It does not track costs of things like screws, terminals etc, but it does track all major components.

looks like about $2K

Now for the important question. How soon do you start your lathe?

More like 2,600 total, not counting trinkets (which are substantial).

Not quite yet. *IF* I had room, I would try to find some old CNC lathe with a busted control, and retrofit for EMC.

I am impressed at what you have accomplished; enjoy the CNC Bridgeport in good health.
