what is up with acroloc mills?

Why do Acroloc cnc mills go for so low a price? Is there something inherently bad in their design?

--The problem is if you don't buy it from Acroloc they refuse to service it! Found *that* out the hard way.. You have to contact another company; forgot the name, and they charge an arm and a leg for a "house call". If they don't have the part and have to make a second trip they charge you twice; travel time was something like a buck a mile back in the '70s; who knows how much it is now! --Bottom line: great machine, shitty company..
