WTD" Acu-Rite Scale with 16"+ of travel

Still looking for the elusive Acu-Rite scale with 6 pin round connector with between 16" and 20" of travel. If you have something let me know? Thanks Marty

I don't know this to be a fact, but an eBay seller claimed that Anilam scales with the same 6-pin Bendix connector were interchangeable between these 2 brands.

Resolutions may vary (depending upon DRO capabilities), but 5 volt quadrature TTL scales are somewhat generic/universal.

5 volts 90 degree quadrature is the basic spec, mainly only the pinouts vary from one maker to the next.

In the exteme case, you might need to add pull-down resisters to sink current, mainly if the reader is very old.

Much info exists, (suggest a simple google search), including how to interface to a pee cee, with a simple break out board.

Except most Heidenhain. These either have a 1 volt analog, or an 11 uamp analog, or a

5 volt output, depending on the model. The 1 volt and the 11 uamp models need an interpolator box to generate 5 volt signals. The interpolator boxes are from $300-400 each.

Beware of the fact that Heidenhain has models which use sine-wave instead of TTL, and are not compatible.
