If 4-facet drills have all the touted advantages (truer holes, closer to size with lower drilling forces) then why aren't normal shop-bought drills supplied like this ?

Just the extra cost of the two further operations to get the extra facets?

4-facet ground drills are listed as "split point" and are readily available.
