I had a pleasant surprise today when I took something back to Aldi on the basis that it was 'not fit for purpose'.The article in question was a 'cheapo' hacksaw bought at the same time as I bought one of the ultrasonic cleaners. When I finally got round to taking a good look at it last weekend I found that not only was the blade alignment poor but there was an absence of blade tension and no discernible means of adjusting tension.As seems to be always the situation in such cases I had not kept the receipt and had I not been passing the door would have been prepared to cut my losses. Thus to be given a full refund without quibble or question was a pleasant surprise and of itself would probably have been enough to prompt a comment on this NG.But there was a bonus. In the absence of a receipt I have no exact recollection of the price of the hacksaw other than it was ridiculously cheap. My expression of mild surprise at being refunded more than I had expected was greeted by a comment to the effect that that was the amount the till scanner said it should be. Purely out of respect for those in the long check-out queue behind me, you must understand, I chose not to argue the point.

Ive heard some M3`s on 80 metres in QSO and they were polite, well manered, and did their contacts - QSO`s quite well

its down to the calibre of the person not a scheme and people decide for themselves how they are going to act

any person or can do good or wrong or make mistakes
