Allan bolt threads

Just bought a tub of allen headed bolts from the car boot sale. How do I know which thread it is. Is there a tool that can guage these please? Colin.

Yup - a screw pitch guage (or a thread guage, as I call it). Try places that sell metalworking tools - Machine Mart have a range at 6 quid a pop.
