"Band It" hose clips

I'm fed up with never having the right hose clip, or with Jubilee clips worms shearing, and am considering buying a 'Band-It" tool and clips - uses a continuous stainless 3/8" band and patent clips to make hose clips in situ. Any feedback either positive or negative would be welcome before parting with cash.

Great clamping system. However if you have a rough idea of the range you may use, the Band-It jr clamps could be better. They're preformed clamps, work much better on the smaller diameters and are a lot easier to fit:

Standard Bandit-It clips can be quite vicious on smaller diameter hose.

One thing to beware of is making sure you get a genuine Band-It tool as there are pirate versions that don't last.

The Band-It system doesn't get a good reception here with health regulatory bodies and requires heat shrink sleeving if used in a food processing environment. That's why Oetiker clamps are preferred, far faster but requiring a range...

Used it years ago but not on what you'd call "small diameter" stuff. Great for bigger (3"+) fittings

Used the Band-it stuff years ago on discharge piping on powder tankers.Very good above 3". On hoses up to about an inch I use oertling rings, better and cheaper than jubilee clips. Easy to use the nippers for removing them as well as clinching them. Mark
