Hi,

Michael
Yes, but whether they fit a particular machine is another story!, I don't think they fit my little Burgess.
Greg
Greg, whereabouts in the store are they?
Michael
They don't sell 4" wide bandsaw blades for my Wadkin resaw. Rotty
I think they are in aisle 12, section c in my store
Home baking section ?

Greg
Your store must be different to mine then...

But is your store A normal store, depot or warehouse, and is it red or orange in colour this could make all the difference as to where the blades are kept. Paul.
I would goto neither! Even though I get 20% discount at B&Q. Did you know screwfix is a B&Q company?
I'd always try to get bandsaw blades made up from decent stock at a local saw specialists. Made from decent stock they are so much better.

Yup, and some others as well IIRC all under the Kingfisher group. The reason I asked is I had to go to B&Q anyway and the local screwfix is over the other side of town and didn't really fancy the journey, especially since I went there yesterday. (Sods law for you). As it happened I ended up going and managed to get a free one as the bloke handed me it miscounted it :-) I'll be going to B&Q (Big Orange Warehouse)later today for some other stuff and see if they have them there. Taking the thread slightly OT....the bandsaw blade keeps breaking on a fairly regular basis and I'm not sure why. I've checked the inside, all nice and clean, nothings touching the blade either while while it runs or when it cuts and it can't be the material I'm cutting as at (this) time I was cutting styrofoam with a fine toothed metal blade straight down the middle - can't imagine you could do anything that put less strain on the blade.....I guess the only other option is cheap/crap blades, but want to rule out other possibilities first.....
Bandsaw's a cheap Ferm one - screwfix used to sell but quick check on their site tells me they don't anymore.
Michael
They can't be expected to carry bits for the little saws :-)

I get my band saw blades from a toolshop up the road from me.
