Man with Miller needed! Part too big for me to do

Not sure if this is too off topic but I need to make an aluminium bracket and do not have the means do it.



I have tried a couple of local engineering shops without success, I must be out of touch these days, but one gave me a sky high price and the other declined to quote. The part is about 50x50x250 overall so is not exactly enormous, althought a fair bit of it has to be machined away, the only bit that might be called special is the M12x1.25 tapped holes but I have a tap anyway.



If anyone knows of a one-off friendly job shop withing 30 miles or so of Congleton/Sandbach or indeed would consider making 2 brackets to this drawing (not finalised yet) I would be grateful. I could source the material from one of the usual suppliers if that helps.

Try Tony at Progress Aero Works Union Mill, Union St, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 6QG Tel: 01625 423891 I had him prototype a suspension mount a couple of years ago, that was quite a complicated piece so ended up pricey but he's worth asking as he was quit ehappy to do a one off.

Not within your stated radius, I know, but NK Racing is good, as is Pegasus Engineering.

Your end elevation is drawn incorrectly. If it is to be anodised, check the grade of aluminium you specify, as some are easier to anodise than others.

Furthermore, you should show each necessary dimension but once, and, moreover, it is only our experience that tells us the units must, in all probability, be feet.
