Need to identfiy a part

I have recently bought privately a set of castings, boiler and cut gear

for a 4" scale D&NY traction engine. This was basically a projec abandoned early on by the previous owner, and I am meantime trying t identify each casting before commencing a build.

Unfortuanately the seller had also purchased a kit form 4" scale engin and a 2" scale set of castings for a third traction engine and due t house moves etc., had basically lumped the whole lot together causin some confusion.

Most of the castings for the D&NY 4" I have identified, but I am no sure of the castings for the rear axle bearings.

I have found 2 unindentified gun metal castings 2 1/4" long with centre flange 2 1/2" diameter x 1/4".

The diameter at one end is 1 1/2" and the other end is formed into rectangular slot 1" x 1/2" and 1/2" deep. Would these be the castings need to complete the rear axle setup? Any information regarding th rear axle setup including springs and diameter of the axle would b appreciated.
