OT: Expect more delays for import products

Mar 01, 2008 1 Replies

The whole country has had a bit of high wind, so nothing new there. However, a ship delivering new ship-to-shore dock cranes (made in China..) to Felixstowe port, broke loose from its moorings and was blown along the dock.

Unfortunately the new cranes that were being delivered somehow managed to collect several of the old cranes as the ship was swept along, pulling them up and rendering them into a big pile of scrap steel.:)

That should stick a few more delays into the import process I would imagine.
