Hi i have to find the relationship between microstructure and modulus & strenght in all material . is there a relation between structure and modulus & strenght for all material?

Discovering such a relationship might get you a free trip to Stockhom in mid-December some year.

Some trends for a base material are understandable in hindsight and can be extrapolated to other base materials. An example is the trends seen in the sidechains of acrylates. Going from methyl to octyl decreases the Tg and mechanical properties. Going beyond octyl reverses the trend due to sidechain crystallization. Such trends would also be applicable to other amorphous backbones, but are not predictable from first principles.

Adding increasing amounts of silica to aluminum will soften it and decrease the viscosity - a good thing when sandcasting. This trend is limited to metals however, as adding silica to polymers will increase the viscosity.

Bottom line: there are no universal predictions that can be made, only limited predictions within a limited range of materials. Too bad, as it would make life easier. (But then anyone could do our jobs, so maybe it is a good thing after all.)

I am not sure about "all materials", but for a certain polymer there certainly is a correlation between crystallinity and modulus & strength: typically, the more crystalline a polymer is, the stiiffer and stronger it gets. If you modify a polymer to improve modulus and strength, by grafting side chains etc., you would be talking about a different resin ...
